Special initiative for OoSC (16 to 19 years age group)

 Enabling Sec. /Sr. Sec. Education through Distance learning mode from SOS.

Facilitation of Out of School Children (16-19) with Secondary and Sen. / Sec. Education through SOS by dint of Distance Learning Mode in the Year 2025-26:

• Keeping in view the focus of NEP 2020 on curtailing the dropout rates and ensuring universal access to education at all levels, Samagra Shiksha,  H.P.conducted Baseline Survey to identify OoSC in the age group of 16 to 19 to facilitate them with desired Education for which Govt. of India provides financial assistance of Rs. 2000/-.

Objectives

• In the said Baseline Survey conducted by Samagra Shiksha, 1037 OoSC were identified, and, hence, the data   got approved in the PAB 2025-26, so that, they may be facilitated with Education and may get the financial assistance of Rs. 2000/- per head. 
• As per the approval made by PAB 2025-26, Registration of 1037 OoSC will be done in the month of September/ October with the objective to facilitate OoSC with Sec./ Sr. Sec. Education through SOS.

Criteria regarding beneficiaries:

• Adolescents aged 16-19 years.
• Those who have been dropped out of School.
• Belonging to marginalized or dis-advantaged groups of society.
• Migrant children, working children or children in adverse predicaments.
