Chandigarh stood first in National RED RUN organized by National AIDS Control Organization (NACO), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India.
National AIDS Control Organization (NACO), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India had organized National RED RUN on 18.01.2025 at Goa.
College students from 28 states and 8 Union Territories participated in this National RED RUN. Ms. Shreya from SD College, Sector-32, Chandigarh bagged first position in this National RED RUN. She was awarded with the cash prize of Rs. 50,000/- by Ms. Hekali Zhimomi , Additional Secretary and Director General, NACO in the presence of Dr. Sushil Kumar Mahi, Project Director, Chandigarh SACS and Mr. Sunil Panghal, Assistant Director (Youth), Chandigarh SACS.
Dr. Mahi said that this kind of event not only motivates youth to gather knowledge about HIV/AIDS but also helps them to come forward and take a lead to fight back HIV/AIDS. Chandigarh was lucky to get this award.
